Letter of Recommendation: Lego Services

In the Fall of 2019 we contracted with Jeff Lego of Lego Services to perform a complete overhaul of our back yard, to include multiple tons of river stone around the perimeter of our home, a full patio using E.P Henry pavers and a raised gravel bed adjacent to our garage. Additionally, Jeff installed rigid aluminum edging as a border on both sides of our property fence. The job, after adds, ran approximately $8,000. We would like to offer several observations regarding Mr. Lego's installation, all incredibly positive.

First, Lego Services was the only-landscaping company to itemize each component of the installation. If there were add-ons (and there were) we were consulted, in advance, for approval and we knew the cost. There were no surprises. Of approximately a dozen (maybe ore) landscape companies who were asked for bids, his was the only company that itemized the work. Everyone else either wrote down a number on a big page, or, in most cases, completely failed to respond, even after walking the property and consulting with us.

Secondly, Jeff continued working for approximately three weeks to complete the project. When there were delays due to supplies having not arrived or scheduling conflicts with other customers, we were closely apprised of the modified time lines. There were no components of the job that were delayed beyond a very reasonable time frame, and we were always made aware of when we could expect his workers to be on the property.

It has now been two months of the coldest winter weather to date, if the patio pavers where going to heave or shift, they had ample opportunity. They did not. The installation is very much intact. Moreover the yard was properly graded according to Jeff's original plan so that there was not pooling or uncontrolled water runoff. This was a professional job in every respect. Every aspect of this installation was taken into consideration. The schematics and ground plan designed by Jeff were followed as designed.

It looks remarkable - simply wonderful. His staff was always friendly, extremely professional and responsive to questions. Indeed, they consistently went above and beyond expectations.

Please be aware that I retired from a multi-facility health care management firm where I was responsible for between 100 and 200 thousand dollars of building and grounds contracts per year. Jeff is exactly the kind of contractor I sought out, valued, and assigned repeat business to as their schedule would allow.

Lego Services is the only landscaper that I will use in the future, and the only one that I will refer others to.
